Side by Side is a Joint Commission accredited mental and behavioral health community-based organization serving youth and family members in four counties - Marin, Alameda, Sonoma, and Napa with and a staff of over 120 clinicians and professionals. The program this clinician will service is a Medi-Cal funded mental health service. It provides early intervention and prevention services though once weekly outpatient individual or group therapy. Clients in this program receive interventions through a cognitive behavioral model, with a focus on: communication skills, emotion identification, and coping skill development. RESPONSIBILITIES Individual and/or group therapy Implementation of evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Developing and teaching child/youth effective tools/skills for coping with challenging behaviors. Effective interaction with school personnel for referrals; client and caregivers to develop treatment plan goal and interventions. Developing a transition plan from the inception of services that achieves independence in meeting needs of youth. Developing a treatment plan, identifying measurable outcomes and timelines for measuring progress towards utilization of therapeutic interventions. Attending weekly supervision. Participating in external and in-services trainings relevant to the program services. Timely completion Medi-Cal documentation of all services rendered REQUIREMENTS Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Master's Degree in mental health related field Must be registered with BBS Experience working with children/youth in an outpatient mental health setting. Experience providing behavioral intervention, clinical assessment, and ability to write behavioral analysis forms and treatment plans are essential. Experience providing therapeutic groups to children/youth, as well as group curriculum development. Basic understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tenants and curriculum. Fingerprint Clearance through CA DOJ and FBI, or other mandated entity. A valid California driver's license, personal automobile for use on the job, insurable by SHS' insurance policy based on DMV record and personal vehicle insurance.
