The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, ensuring patients' comfort and well-being.*Responsibilities** *Prepare Operating Room* - Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary equipment before surgery begins.* *Assist During Surgery* - Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures while maintaining a sterile field.* *Maintain Sterility* - Ensure all tools and the environment remain sterile to prevent infections and contamination.* *Count Instruments and Supplies* - Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.* *Post-Operative Clean-Up* - Help with cleaning the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and preparing for the next procedure.*Requirements** *Education*: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training.* *Certification*: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (e.g., CST from NBSTSA) is often preferred or required.* *Experience*: Prior experience in an operating room or surgical setting is an advantage; some roles may require 1-2 years.* *Knowledge & Skills*: Strong understanding of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room procedures.* *Physical & Interpersonal Skills*: Ability to stand for long periods, lift/push equipment, and work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.*Application Process:* Please submit your resume to parvathi.ms@medcadre.com or Call (949) 431-5078 Qualified candidates will be contacted promptly for next steps.Job Type: ContractPay: $1,500.00 - $1,745.00 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* SurgerySchedule:* 3x12* Day shiftAbility to Commute:* Santa Rosa, CA (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Santa Rosa, CA: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
