We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team. Now
offering a $1,000.00 sign on bonus! 500.00 paid at 30 and 90
days!

Our cooks prepare meals for our residents and maintain a clean
kitchen. You will use your prior experience with cutting tools,
cookware and bakeware, combined with your knowledge of cooking
procedures and methods of grilling, baking and boiling as a
critical part of role.

--- -Responsibilities:

--- -Prepares and portions all hot food and some dessert items for
daily select menus, including special diets such as puree,
dysphagia mechanical, dysphagia advanced, low sodium, calorie
control, and diabetic diets as required.
--- -Prepares stocks, soups, sauces, meats/fish, vegetables,
desserts and starches; assists in cold foods preparation when
necessary.
Cooking for residents, employees and special events.
--- -Responsible for preparation, plating and presentation of hot
food to order for the Main Dining Room, catered events, and
employee meals.
--- -Prepares, seasons, and assists in cooking all menu items.
--- -Assists the next shift's cook and pantry staff member with any
necessary prep work.
--- -Responsible for preparing any necessary food items for the
next day's menu.
--- -Verifies food quality, temperature and special diet
requirements before the leaves the kitchen; corrects discrepancies
immediately.
--- -Records temperatures of food items before each meal period and
corrects temperatures to meet predetermined standards; documents
temperatures of walk-ins and freezers at the beginning and ending
of the shift.
--- -Conducts proper rotation of food items in refrigerated
walk-ins, freezers and dry storage areas; labels and covers food
items appropriately.
--- -Follows menus and standards in preparing food on a timely
basis, in sufficient quality and quantity, incorporating all food
service requirements, service schedule, and sanitation
standards.
--- -Maintains kitchen cleanliness and proper food preparation
according to state and local health department code requirements
and departmental procedures.
--- -Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
