Job Description:
As Sr. Systems Administrator, Lead within STAAR Surgical's
Information Technology Operations team, this individual plays a
critical role working closely with the business and across the
Information Technology organization defining, delivering and
supporting IT technical solutions and supporting roadmaps.
In summary this position is responsible for the computing solutions
including engineering, implementation and integration, technical
services and support. Defines specifications for operating systems
applications and modifies/maintains existing applications. Designs,
installs, maintains, and administers systems including hardware,
software, and various configurations. Designs and deploys systems
based on business/user requirements.
EDUCATION & TRAINING - Undergraduate degree and 8+ years relevant
experience or Graduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience, or
equivalent combination of education/experience.
EXPERIENCE - 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
combination of education and work experience.

principles, practices, and/or technologies and their practical
application. - Must possess excellent facilitation and
communication skills, and able to adapt to the level and nature of
their audience. - Advanced proficiency in PC administration
(Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.). - Proficiency in cloud based XaaS
technologies (e.g., Amazon, Azure, Exchange Office365, etc.)
including engineering and implementing public and hybrid solutions
that take into account: Extending corporate AD networks, CASB,
VPN/Firewalls, CDN, DNS Acceleration, Storage, dynamic provisioning
of resources, and cloud management/governance. - Advanced knowledge
and adaptation of emerging technologies and frameworks to reduce
costs, effort and maintenance.. Ability to communicate in Japanese
and/or Mandarin is a plus.
