*JOB DESCRIPTION: *

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

The position of *Facilities/EHS Specialist* is within our Toxicology Business Unit located in *Santa Rosa, California*. This role manages a variety of projects and assignments for the Facilities function including but not limited to systems and documentation maintenance, compliance, and health and safety initiatives. The person who fills this role must have an understanding of facilities management, project management, and/or document control in a manufacturing environment, laboratory industry preferred.

*RESPONSIBILITIES: *

* Updates and maintains all required documentation and records for Facilities maintenance and environmental health and safety activities. Ensures all documentation complies with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Acts as liaison between Facilities and other departmental resources in Laboratory, Quality, Regulatory and other departments.
* Functions as internal auditor to insure adherence to OSHA, state safety and Hazmat requirements.
* Through intermediate managers, direct space allocations, moves, and facilities construction, modification and maintenance.
* Provides project management and resource support to address Health and Safety needs. May research and identify external consultants and technical experts as needed.
* Assesses current processes and makes recommendations for improvement to achieve greater efficiency.
* Develops detailed projection of resources required to accomplish maintenance activities. Develops schedules, runs status reports, and follows-up on pending action items.
* Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
* Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
* Oversee facilities planning activities for company
* Review and approve facilities related contracts and vendor qualifications.
* Assess Security and maintain compliance with local and company standards.
* Provides input and planning for emergency preparedness related to internal and external threats.
* Responsible for overseeing a group of employees within a professional setting. Duties include relaying information between their team and upper management, guiding their team through daily work activities or projects and monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity.

*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION: *

* Bachelor Degree in Business Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

* Supervisory experience
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team
* Strong oral and written competencies
* Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
* Customer focus and service orientation
* Strong people skills and conflict management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $99,000.00 - $119,000.00 per year
