We're looking for someone to join our team as an EVS OR
Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness and an improved
aesthetic environment for the Surgical department. Performs a
variety of general cleaning tasks. Performs daily and terminal
cleaning of operating rooms.
* Performs routine cleaning of operating rooms, nursing units,
departments, lobbies, lounges, restrooms corridors, elevators, and
stairways. * Assists Operating Room team with case cart, equipment,
and supply needs. Distributes, collects and processes linens.
Assists with additional duties such as cryo-machine, autoclave
room, ordering food. * Assists with transport and moving patients.
Gets inpatient beds, changes beds and gurneys as needed. * Sets up
rooms based on procedure and surgeon preference with proper
equipment, beds and positioning adjuncts. Performs terminal
cleaning of surgical suites daily; hallways, sterile processing,
sterile core, sub-sterile rooms, anesthesia work room, ancillary
rooms and other areas weekly. * Exercises independent judgment in
supervising and responsibly directing assigned staff. Delegates and
assigns work to personnel for effective utilization of their skills
and to meet business needs. Recruits and orients new employees.
Ensures all employees are sufficiently trained to carry out their
duties. Creates an engaging workplace and encourages others to
contribute creative and innovative approaches to achieve continuous
improvement. Drives a performance culture through appraisals and
other coaching. Disciplines personnel when deems appropriate. *
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
* High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred *
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of
education/related experience: Preferred
* Environmental services experience: Preferred
