The Hospitality Sales Manager is the front line site and tasting room manager for all guest interaction and financial deliverables in the following areas: Create and ensure a safe environment for our employees and guests, key sales metrics (club conversion, net sales revenue), understand and delivery of cost controls, especially labor and COGS tours and tastings. Sales and Budget Working together with the Regional General Manager, lead and direct the activities of Hospitality Associate team to achieve or exceed key brand DTC objectives and metrics including total revenue and gross profit, Wine Club total enrolments and conversion %, new customer data acquisition and Per Guest Spend Manage site P & L Work with sister properties on referral programs Be active in the local hospitality market to build a strong referral channel for new business Working with Regional GM and Marketing team support traffic driving programs Develop T & T choreography and tasting menus to meet sales targets and COGS guidelines Drive data capture and site specific customer retention programming Guest Experience Create a culture of brilliant customer service - Every guest every time Develop and Monitor tour and tastings to ensure experiences are delivered at the highest guest service standards offerings Shop other winery offerings and provide input to GM on new experiences and programming to ensure site offering stays relevant and draws new customers Implement WISE triple score as the standard of service Manage Customer Service Champion program at site Manage Wine Club retention programming at site Engage with customers and solve service issues Manage Trade guest experience with Hudson House and Trade Marketing teams Staff Management Hire, train, schedule and manage large scale site Hospitality staff to achieve results Demonstrate strong leadership. Coach team members in all aspects of performance, set a positive example at all times. Work the sales floor, lead VIP tours and interface with top customers to set an example for staff and meet wine sales and club conversion targets Lead daily pre-shift meetings ensuring focus on sales objectives and growth behaviors Write and deliver mid-year and annual performance reviews and execute other TWE HR initiatives as directed Manage schedule process - providing oversite to Assistant Managers and/or Lead(s) who write daily schedule Manage all areas of timekeeping and TWE labor policy Manage staff recognition and success celebration programs Ensure team has access and enrolls in Leadership and other TWE training programs Provide direct oversite of all Performance Management activities including Performance Reviews, Development Planning, PIP and warning documentation and execution Manage annual Remuneration process for site employee roster Site Operations Provides oversite to Manager on Duty and all site leadership Provide oversite on all Inventory issues and manage monthly /quarterly inventory counts and reconciliations Work with Central Operations team to ensure new product SKUs and monthly programming is set up in eWinery and RMS Manage all food & beverage service protocols including TIPS protocols and compliance Working with other site leads, ensure accuracy, completion and reconciliation of all daily sales transactions and operation of POS terminals Help insure all SOPs and TWE policies are adhered to Qualifications: Strong leadership skills and team player with the ability to coach others Knowledge of food and wine, the wine industry and competitive offerings, Napa and Bay Area hospitality market Proven track record leading others and delivering results against defined targets Working knowledge of winery POS systems, calendar programs, Microsoft Office Suite Strong customer service and sales aptitude Dynamic communication skills & positive attitude Creative - big thinker and able to put ideas into action Highly organized. Experience managing multiple priorities and changing environment Ability to start a project and carry through to successful implementation Strong presentation skills with the ability to relay their knowledge of wines and wine production Strong work ethic. This position must work weekends, some holidays and evenings and the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule Must have a clean professional appearance and able to represent TWE internally and externally Must be 21 years of age Must be able to lift 50 lbs (a case of wine) BS degree or equivalent work experience Minimum 3 years in similar retail and or sales leadership role in hospitality industry. Preferred experience as tasting room manager, hotel front desk manager or hotel shift manager.
