We are committed to upholding a culture of shared values that provide dignity, growth, and value to our patients, employees and physicians.We believe our hospital will provide a variety of quality services that will not only be an asset to the community but a distinct benefit to the surrounding acute hospitals.It is our vision to become world recognized for our outstanding specialty and long term acute services accomplished through quality, innovation and leadership.The Long Term Acute Care (LTCH) Division of Sonoma SpecialtyHospital is designed to provide care of medically complex patientswho have experienced catastrophic illness and/or multi-system failure and arein need of intense rehabilitation services and an extended stay in an acutecare setting. These patients usually come directly from a Short Term Acute CareHospital (STCH) and are in need of vent weaning and acute rehabilitationservices for a longer period of time to recover and return to their optimallevel of health. The average length of stay (ALOS) of these patients is a rangeof 25-35 days which is a longer than average stay at a Short Term Acute CareHospital. Care for these types of patients is provided by RNs, RespiratoryTherapists, Wound Care Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists,and Speech Therapists. Also a collaborative team of specialty physicians,psychologists, dieticians, and social workers will focus on an individualizedgoal for each patient to recover and reach their independence and optimum levelof health.is a missing piece in the continuum of care within the health caresystem.Job Summary:The HR generalist is support the Human Resources Manager in day-to-day operations of the HumanResources department. Typically, this position has primary responsibility for two or more of the followingareas: personnel, staff development and training; benefits, and human resources information systems.This individual advises and guides management in interpretation and application of personnel policies,statutory regulations and programs. May be responsible for producing and directing the implementationof the organization's compensation program. Makes suggested revisions to the compensation plan orprocedures. Assists with or advises on benefits plans for the organization. Assists in all activities relatedto recruitment, placement and retention.Education and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma BA/BS preferred or experience in the field in lieu thereofDuties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):Track employee compliance relating to licensure, certifications, and position training.Monitor employee performance evaluations to include contacting department managers andupdating tracking tool for next scheduled evaluation.Enter and update employee information into company database including processing new hiresand terminations.Maintain employment files and filing systems.Perform administrative and clerical duties to support the Human Resources Department,including setting appointments, organize orientation packets, order supplies, etc.Performs other duties as assigned by department Manager.Other Skills and Abilities:Exercises sound judgment, analytical skills and focus Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within an ambiguous, fast paced environment Demonstrated resourcefulness in providing solutions and setting priorities Current with Federal and State laws and regulations to ensure compliance Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicateprofessionally at all levels Effective interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels within the organizationAbility to identify problems/issues, develop and evaluate options in order to implement solutionsAbility to appropriately manage highly sensitive and confidential informationComputer literate and proficient in MS Office
