Job Description:
Mayer Brown LLP seeks an Associate Attorney for the Litigation &
Dispute Resolution practice to provide strategic legal counsel on a
full range of commercial litigation matters before U.S. state and
federal courts. Draft motions, legal memoranda, and pleadings in
commercial litigation cases. Oversee discovery and document
production in commercial litigation cases before U.S. state and
federal courts. Prepare, take, and defend depositions of witnesses
in commercial litigation cases before U.S. state and federal
courts. Conduct legal research regarding U.S. statutes, case law,
and procedure in commercial litigation cases before U.S. state and
federal courts. Communicate with clients regarding case strategy,
case status, and requests for information. LI-DNI Position requires
a Juris Doctor degree or its equivalent in Law, Legal Studies, or a
related field, and 3 years of experience with representing clients
on commercial litigation matters. Experience must include at
minimum: 1 year of experience with U.S. civil litigation; 1 year of
experience with conducting litigation before U.S. state and federal
courts; 1 year of experience using Westlaw or Lexis to conduct
legal research regarding U.S. laws; 1 year of experience using
e-discovery tools including Relativity; and 6 months of experience
with data privacy class action suits. Must be admitted to practice
law in good standing with the bar of a U.S. state, commonwealth, or
territory, or the District of Columbia. JOB LOCATION: Palo Alto,
CA. RATE OF PAY: $225,000.00 to $420,000.00. To apply, candidate
