Essential Functions Analyzing, designing, developing release automation for operations and applications Define best practices, guidelines and standards that balance short and long-term objectives in a practical manner - (Continuously improve our engineering Continuous Integration (CI) system and infrastructure, working with Corporate DevSecOps and Corporate IT as well as our engineering development teams.) Manage and maintain CI/CD tools within a team - (Configure, automate, and maintain productivity tools using databases or scripting languages to improve software build and test environments) Deploy updates and fixes; providing technical support and direction to other software engineers - (Provide training to the Development team members responsible for the ownership of team pipelines to maintain and improve team CI/CD capability) Work within Linux and Windows environments Create and monitor health checks for the services on our programs Investigate and resolve technical issues Build tools to improve automation, reduce occurrences of errors, and continuously improve our pipeline Promote DevSecOps as a culture Provide interface and coordination as needed between the Development teams and Corporate IT to maintain and improve infrastructure and tools Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects or assignments. Sets objectives for own job area to meet the goals of projects and assignments. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Explains and interprets operational processes, practices and procedures of the job area to others within the organization. Promotes and trains development teams to own project CI/CD pipeline scripts. Utilize a variety of software languages (e.g., Java, Python, AngularJS and C++) on Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real time operating systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Software discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field) 1 or more years of experience developing software with an object-oriented programming language. (e.g., Java, C++ and C#) Prior or current experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment strategies Prior or current experience troubleshooting incidents in production systems Prior or current experience with Kubernetes Prior or current experience with Docker and Docker Compose Prior or current experience managing CI/CD servers and agents in GitLab, Bamboo, or similar application Prior or current experience with Artifactory, Nexus, or similar application Experience with DevSecOps tooling such as Maven, Artifactory and GitLab Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift) Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be a US Citizen Active US Government Security Clearance preferred. Able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are standard L3Harris is an e-Verify Employer Preferred Additional Skills Developing CI/CD configuration as code such as Jenkins files or bamboo specs. Familiarity with managing Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc. SECRET clearance is a plus Experience with configuration and administration of Atlassian tool suite: Bitbucket, Jira, Crucible, and Fisheye Software development experience with an object-oriented programming language, Java or C++ a plus Experience with static code analysis, code coverage tools, and automated test frameworks Linux experience (advanced level preferred) VMWare and vSphere experience Web UI development experience (e.g., AngularJS, React or similar) Experience with installing and configuring PKI and X.509 Certificates Knowledge of API Gateways (e.g., Kong, 3Scale or similar) Platform design experience in private and/or public cloud Experience configuring and administering RedHat OpenShift IAM background (e.g., OpenAM, KeyCloak, JWT, JWS) Familiarity with messaging, data and event streaming services such as Kafka Network/infrastructure automation Test automation ADA Requirements: Some repetitive motion activities Visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information Able to use a computer/keyboard for extended periods of time May be required to lift up to 20 lbs, with assistance Able to use office & test equipment and computers/peripherals in a standard office & computer lab environment Fast paced, schedule-driven environment; Some stress related to making decisions with ambiguous information Willing and able to work extended hours when necessary -Domestic travel up to 20% possible
