Since 1971 the agency has provided behavioral health services along a continuum of care. The Licensed Team Leader reports directly to the Program Director and is responsible for the operational, clinical and administrative day-to-day operations of assigned areas of the program, including direct supervision of a team of providers. Provides assistance to the Program Director (PD) in the planning and operation of the administrative and clinical aspects of the program, to insure smooth functioning and clear communication. This position is a blend of administrative and clinical responsibilities, including: Administrative responsibilities include: Provide assistance to the Program Director (PD) in the planning and operation of the administrative and clinical aspects of the program to ensure smooth functioning and clear communication. Supervise, and effectively recommend hiring, disciplining, and firing of staff. Complete quarterly reports on contract compliance, with assistance from the PD, and complete other reports as assigned by the PD. Provide administrative supervision to staff, and ensure staff adherence to agency standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure adherence to county, state and federal requirements for Medi-Cal documentation and delivery of services. Assist staff with data entry into Homeless Management Information System. Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing staff schedules. Share on-call responsibilities as needed. Assist PD with both administrative and clinical record keeping tasks. Monitor program vacancies and referrals. Participate in and/or lead weekly staff meetings and team meetings. Exchange information with psychiatrists, County PSC, staff and other resources. Ensure that staff keeps notes current in client's charts on a timely basis in accordance with established practices. Assist staff and PD with tasks related to property management (i.e. maintenance, repairs, leases) of agency owned and master-leased properties. Assist staff with maintaining client charts and records according to HIPPA laws. Complete annual performance evaluations and yearly action plans for staff. Clinical responsibilities include: Assist PD by taking responsibility in planning, reviewing, approving, implementing, and monitoring treatment plans. Provide individual and group supervision to staff addressing issues of treatment planning, client services, and Medi-Cal record keeping from a psychosocial rehabilitation perspective. Provide clinical training to staff. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management services as needed. Provide general counseling and guidance with clients in a manner that facilitates individual growth as well as facilitating the growth of groups. Meet with families when clinically indicated. Perform case management duties and intakes as needed. Assist staff by providing back-up service coverage to clients; maintain awareness of general physical/mental health of clients. Explore community resources to enrich and compliment the program. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education: Must be a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (i.e. LMFT or LCSW) and the license must be current and in good standing with the CA BBS. May also be an MFT Intern or ASW, as long as eligible for licensure within 1 year of date of hire. Proof of current relevant licensure or credentials required. Two or more years of experience3 as an administrative supervisor/manager, preferably in a community mental health setting, are required. (It is not required that applicants be eligible to provide BBS clinical supervision hours, although that option is available and encouraged.) Experience : Two or more years of recent and/or relevant experience in a mental health agency, preferably one that serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness and/or work with a psychosocial rehabilitation approach, teaching independent living skills. At least one year of experience must be in direct service, with the remainder being supervisory/managerial. Must have strong clinical skills, strong knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation requirements, treatment planning, and assessment. Strong understanding of the principles and practices of psychosocial rehabilitation, mental health recovery, group dynamics, co-occurring disorders and harm reduction approach. Position requires proven strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. One year of recent and/or relevant working experience with persons with disabilities , preferably mental illness, or related field. Professional: Bilingual (English and Spanish) speaking preferred. Ability to represent the agency to the community and funders, and the ability to oversee Medi-Cal documentation required. Must be dedicated to the principles of social rehabilitation, recovery, and harm reduction, and have strong clinical, interpersonal, time-management, managerial, and organizational skills. Must have interest in working with persons with a behavioral health disability. Ability to work within all the rules, regulations, and policies that govern agency compliance. Applicants must have valid California driver's license with an insurable driving record, use of own vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed. Must be reliable and have the ability to remain flexible, friendly and focused even when surroundings become hectic. Physical requirements: Capable of the following intermittent activities: stretching, bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, reaching above or below the shoulder, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands and the use of fine motor skills. Often operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. ABOUT THIS POSITION: This a full-time exempt position with typical hours of days, Monday through Friday, with some on-call responsibilities shared with others. Salary Range: 55,000.00 To 60,000.00 (USD) Annually
