Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at Performance Foodservice as a CDL A
Driver and play a key role in delivering food products to our
esteemed range of customers, including family-owned restaurants and
national chains. As vital contributors to our logistics operations,
our drivers ensure that our quality products reach their
destinations safely and on schedule, upholding our reputation as
leaders in food distribution. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to
transport food products to customers. Inspect vehicles for
mechanical items and safety issues, report any discrepancies. Plan
routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest
periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with
company policies and procedures. Collect and verify delivery
instructions, handling paperwork as required. Report defects,
accidents, or violations promptly. Proven work experience as a
truck driver with a clean driving record. Hands-on experience with
electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc). Ability
to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of
applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid
Commercial Driving License (CDL) Class A required. No recent moving
or driving violations.
