Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Outpatient Surgery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Surgery (PreOp / PACU) Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95405 Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day – 5x8s (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) Occasional shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Float: Yes – may float to Main PACU if needed Experience & Requirements - Minimum 1 year RN experience - Active California RN License (Pending accepted) - First-time travelers welcome - RTO: No more than 7 days Required Certifications - BLS - ACLS - PALS Preferred - Epic charting experience Facility Overview - Acute Care Facility - Outpatient PreOp & PACU (Phase I & II) - 4 Rooms | Avg. 10 cases per day - Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics - All outpatient surgical cases (patients discharged home same day) - First-time travelers accepted Unit Details - Monday – Friday schedule - No weekends, no holidays, no call - PreOp & Phase I/II PACU recovery Clinical Skills & Experience - Pre-op assessment & education - PACU Phase I & II recovery - Medication reconciliation - Discharge instructions & follow-up calls - Procedural sedation administration & monitoring - Pain management & RASS scoring - Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol - Insulin & hyperglycemia/hypoglycemia protocols - Interpretation of lab values - 12-lead EKG HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31919080.
