Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pharmacy Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours - Employment Type: Travel Title: Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Location: Santa Rosa, CA Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (Variable start times between 5:00 AM – 10:30 PM based on department needs) Job Responsibilities /t - /t Support inpatient pharmacy operations in an acute care hospital setting /t /t - /t Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications under pharmacist supervision /t /t - /t Manage medication inventory including ordering, receiving, stocking, rotation, recalls, and returns /t /t - /t Handle controlled substances in compliance with pharmacy laws and documentation requirements /t /t - /t Operate automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis) /t /t - /t Assist with high-alert medications and look-alike/sound-alike drug processes /t /t - /t Maintain accurate records using Epic and pharmacy systems /t /t - /t Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe medication practices /t Required Skills and Requirements /t - /t Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience /t /t - /t Active state pharmacy technician license /t /t - /t Experience using Epic (required) /t /t - /t Knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations /t /t - /t Understanding of controlled substance handling and documentation /t /t - /t Familiarity with inpatient or acute care pharmacy workflows /t /t - /t Ability to work flexible shifts and occasional weekends based on department needs /t Preferred Skills /t - /t Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) /t /t - /t Trauma Level II hospital experience /t /t - /t Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems /t /t - /t Knowledge of formulary management and inventory control processes /t /t - /t Familiarity with Client Logistics systems /t /t - /t Acute care hospital pharmacy experience (retail-only experience may be considered) /t HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31640070.
