4x10-Hour (2:00 PM – 11:30 PM); Variable evenings/nights (2
PM–11:30 PM or 10:30 PM–7 AM) Weekend Requirement: Every other
weekend Float: Yes, between hospital and outpatient center
Description: The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic
ultrasound exams in general, OB/GYN, vascular, neonatal, and small
parts imaging. Responsibilities include preparing patients,
operating ultrasound equipment, acquiring high-quality images, and
assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures. The technologist
ensures accurate documentation, maintains equipment, and provides
patient care in compliance with professional and hospital
standards. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: - Perform a
variety of ultrasound exams: abdominal, OB/GYN (1st–3rd trimester,
fetal anatomy), vascular (arterial/venous, carotid, renal duplex),
neonatal (head, ventricles, bone lengths), and small parts (breast,
thyroid, testicular). - Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies,
paracentesis, and fine needle aspirations. - Utilize GE ultrasound
systems and PACS for imaging and record management. - Work in
multiple settings including adult, pediatric, NICU, PICU, and
emergency departments. - Maintain professionalism, patient safety,
and effective workflow in a busy environment (approx. 8–10 cases
per day). - Teaching and community hospital experience preferred. -
Float between hospital and outpatient center as needed. Required
Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience - BLS
certification (required) - ARDMS certification (RDMS - AB, OB, BR;
RVT preferred) - Travel experience not required - First-time
travelers accepted - Must include all RTO at time of submission
(facility approval required) Preferred Qualifications: - Teaching
or community hospital experience - Trauma Level I experience -
Proficiency in neonatal and vascular imaging - OB RDMS and multiple
