Job Description:
Title: Pharmacy Technician - Onsite Description: As a Pharmacy
Technician in a growing segment of healthcare, specialty pharmacy,
you will work with specialized and complex therapies that are
delivered to patients. Duties: Key responsibilities: Communication
with patients, prescribers, and colleagues. Frequent phone
conversations, emails, faxes. Fulfillment of prescriptions,
packaging medications for shipment, processing copays, researching
financial assistance. Complete order entry and refills under the
supervision of the pharmacist. Inventory management and storage,
complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and
reports. Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing
and business needs. Experience: Retail, specialty pharmacy
experience, mail order pharmacy At least 1 year experience as a
pharmacy technician. Basic computer skills including word
processing and spreadsheet utilization. Excellent customer service
skills (written and verbal) a must. Specialty Pharmacy experience
is a plus. Education: Verifiable High School diploma or GED is
required. CA state pharmacy technician licensure is required. The
national certificate, PTCB can be left as a preferred but not
required certificate.
