Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join
our advanced imaging team. The ideal candidate will have proven
experience in performing both routine and specialized MRI
procedures with precision and efficiency. This role requires a
professional who can work independently, exercise sound clinical
judgment, and provide exceptional patient care while adhering to
the highest safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
MRI Imaging Services: Perform a wide range of diagnostic and
specialized MRI procedures. Prepare and assist physicians with
diagnostic and interventional MRI imaging as needed. Ensure
high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnoses and treatment
planning. Educate and inform patients clearly regarding procedures,
medications, contrast media, and potential effects. Mentor and
assist students or new technologists in developing MRI
competencies. Clerical & Documentation: Maintain accurate patient
records, including consent forms, screening forms, and exam
documentation. Handle general clerical duties such as phone
communication, appointment scheduling, and electronic health record
(EHR) updates. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering
necessary supplies and equipment. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to
ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards to ensure safety
for patients, staff, and self. Maintain cleanliness and operational
integrity of MRI equipment, including performing required
calibrations and QC checks. Ensure compliance with all applicable
local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
guidelines. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited
Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent required. Minimum of 5
years recent MRI experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Proficient in MRI imaging techniques, anatomy, physiology,
pathology, and medical terminology. Skilled in time management,
communication, and teamwork within fast-paced environments. Prior
experience in trauma response and emergency imaging is preferred.
Certifications Required: CRT or ARMRIT (MRI) or ARRT (MRI) BLS
(American Heart Association) Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
of relevant MRI experience
