Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Polysomnographer Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 36 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract Job Description Summary: Providence Health and Services in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a dedicated Polysomnographic Technologist to join their Sleep Lab team on a night shift schedule. This position involves working with both pediatric and adult patients and requires experience with advanced sleep diagnostic technology. Responsibilities: Conduct overnight polysomnographic studies on adult and pediatric patients. Apply, monitor, and adjust sleep diagnostic equipment including Alice 6 G3 software and ResMed CPAP units. Accurately document patient observations and study data using EPIC . Adhere to AASM standards and facility protocols. Float between like units as needed. Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality of care and safety. Participate in rotating weekend shifts and respond to call-backs if required. Key Requirements: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required. Must have experience with pediatric and adult sleep studies (ratios: 1:1 for peds, 1:2 for adults). Strong proficiency in EPIC charting. Willingness to work every other weekend . Must submit all RTO requests at time of submission. Open to local candidates . Must be available to float between similar units . Block scheduling subject to manager approval . Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program. Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a sleep lab environment. Experience with pediatric sleep studies highly preferred. First-time travelers accepted. License/Certifications: RPSGT or RRT with SDS credential required. California state license (active; no pending accepted). BLS certification required. Skills: Competency in sleep study equipment (Alice 6 G3, ResMed CPAP). Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions during overnight shifts. Comfort managing both pediatric and adult patient populations. Excellent documentation, observation, and communication skills.
