highly skilled, dynamic group of APPs in the outpatient clinic in
our Hematology, Blood & Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies
department at the Parnassus campus of UCSF Health. Our acclaimed
program draws patients from around the world seeking effective and
innovative therapies to treat their underlying blood disorders or
blood cancers. Our patient population includes those receiving
chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, or cellular therapies for the
treatment of hematologic malignancies.In this position, the NP
would work in the outpatient clinic 4 days a week for 10 hours a
shift. They will primarily act as an independent billing provider
seeing follow-up visits and hospital discharges. There may be
opportunities to incorporate new patient referrals and survivorship
visits into your day. The NP will have the opportunity to learn and
perform various procedures including bone marrow biopsies and
lumber punctures.The final salary and offer components are subject
to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within
the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your
work experience and internal equity within this position
classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a
labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by
the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range
for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).To learn more

Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an NP in an
outpatient or inpatient adult hematology or oncology program or
completion of APP fellowship in hematology/oncology
- Demonstrated competence in the following areas: clinical
practice, communication, clinical case management, and problem
identification/resolution.
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center
locations.Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience as a NP at an academic medical
center.
- Three (3) years of RN experience in adult hematology/BMT or
adult oncologyLicense/Certification
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for
position.
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying
agency and provide by first day of work.
- Accepted Certifications for this position: AGNP-C, ANP-C,
FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC,
AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC
- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in
California.
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a
nurse practitioner.
- Complete Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California
address.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through
credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate
for pediatric environments.
- Current AHA BLS.
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician
to practice.
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be
hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.UCSF Medical Center and Campus
requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most
cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs &
Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and
approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days
