Job Description:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care to residents with grace and flexibility handling different personality types in varying levels of care. These services are provided in accordance with the Quaker values of simplicity, integrity, equality, and peace. Our CNAs are caring and compassionate employees who will deliver resident services with respect, hope, and appreciaiton.CNA ResponsibilitiesThe C.N.A. assists residents in the activities of daily living, including oral hygiene, nail care, transfers, and mobility.Provides wheelchair transportation and assists in ambulation of residents as needed encouraging residents to participate in activitiesThe C.N.A. is responsible for maintaining order and safety in resident living areas and residents rooms.Assures maximum functioning of resident through range of motion activities, toileting schedule, and the feeding and turning scheduleThe Certified Nursing Assistant observes residents for any physical and behavioral changes and reports them to the charge nurse, and is a mandatory reporter for all suspected abuse situations.Participates in all staff meetings, and other meetings as necessaryRecords all pertinent information pertaining to the daily care of residents, including weights, activities of daily living, intake and output, and reports this information to charge nurseWill train as a Medication Assistant to asist with resident's care plans and recording all medications taken or refused.CNA Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to read, speak well and be understood clearly in the English languageUnderstand basic medication terminologyWork independently and responsibly with critical thinking skills and problem solving capabilitiesCNA Education and QualificationsCurrent California CNA certificationCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationHigh school diploma or equivalentPI183190615SDL2017
