It is a full-service hospital that includes 24-hour Emergency Services, Critical Care, Med/Surg services, Ambulatory Surgical Services, Occupational/Physical Therapy, as well as a Birthing Center to name a few. The Med/Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will get to join an excellent organization that - is ranked in the top 10% of Hospitals in all of Northern California for Best Practices!Directly reporting to the Med/Surg Nurse Manager, the Med/Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will cooperatively work alongside the Nurse Leadership team to continue the amazing work of upholding the highest standards of care for the community. With about 120 FTEs in the unit, the Med/Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will support the Med/Surg Nurse Manager by taking on roughly half the direct reports. This position is excellent for a young leader looking to learn the ropes of Leadership and ascend through the ranks. -This energetic 50-bed Medical-Surgical unit provides care to about 30-50 patients every day. The Med/Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with a tenured team of Nurses and Physicians specializing in multiple specialties. Aside from the highly experienced Nurse and Physician Leaders, the Med/Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will have the opportunity to cultivate and mentor new staff into strong healthcare professionals.The Med/Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will assist in managing the overall clinical operations while maintaining direction of the delivery of patient care within the Medical-Surgical Department. This role will have responsibilities including supervising staff, facilitating communication with physicians/ancillary staff, and administrators to provide optimal patient-centered care.
