This role has the potential to develop into a Lead position within our tax departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and consulting, along with leadership qualities such as excellent communication, mentoring skills, ambition to lead, and the ability to drive results.*Key Responsibilities* Prepare and review accurate tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates. Maintain client relationships and provide exceptional client service throughout the tax preparation process. Assist clients in planning and consulting on tax-related issues including estate matters, tax issues, and business strategies. Identify and suggest resolutions for technically advanced tax issues. Effectively manage client expectations. Demonstrate advanced computer literacy with relevant software programs. Identify opportunities to expand services to clients. Cultivate new client relationships through referrals and networking. Stay current on regulations and technical matters through training and self-study.*Qualifications* Must be willing to work onsite in the Santa Rosa, CA office Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in public accounting. CPA certification Proficiency in CCH tax software a plus, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Tax Planning/BNA Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
