    We are looking for a Branch Manager to lead our team in Healdsburg. This position is responsible for the development of new business relationships, the retention and expansion of existing relationships and general management of the branch team and office. The Branch Manager promotes Summit's values of community involvement and attends various community functions on behalf of the Bank. The Branch Manager provides strong leadership and ensures that the branch meets requirements for customer service, internal controls and banking regulations in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. The strong candidate will have over 7 years of job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Only candidates with previous banking and management experience will be considered.

    Primary Functions
    • Promote culture, products, services, policies, and standards of the Bank.
    • Devote a minimum 33% of time to develop new business relationships, as well as retain and expand current customer relationships.
    • Actively seek opportunities to promote Bank products and services among existing customers. Ensure that branch staff recognize and act on opportunities to promote Bank products and services and refer potential business to the Branch Manager or as otherwise indicated by Senior Management.
    • Oversee & ensure customer retention calling efforts are focused on providing excellent customer service, gaining referrals, and cross-selling products and services.
    • Coach direct reports and manage the Banks incentive plan.
    • Regularly participate in community and business events, including those occurring after standard business hours, to represent and promote the Bank while seeking new business opportunities and customer prospects.
    • Provide a welcoming atmosphere and provide the highest level of customer service, ("The Summit Way")
    • Be familiar with the banking activities of branch customers to facilitate decision-making (for example: overdraft decisions, fee waiver decisions) and promotion of services.
    • Research and resolve customer issues as needed.
    • Manage branch deposit portfolio in accordance with bank goals for:
      • increasing core deposits
      • managing rates to maintain low cost of funds
      • customer profitability
      • Advise senior management of significant issues.
      • Maintain expenses within budget and approve invoices within assigned authority limits.
      • Comply with internal control procedures established by the Bank.
      • Adhere to banking regulations and internal policies and procedures.
      • Keep informed about current and changing operational, legal and regulatory issues which may impact policies and procedures.
      • Support Customer Service Rep IV regarding branch facilities issues.
      • Promote high morale and dedication to ones work amongst staff.
      • Conduct employee performance evaluations provide coaching and mentoring to staff and implement corrective action plans as needed.
      • Support Branch Supervisor in all aspects of branch operations.
      • Maintain a high level of security awareness and comply with all security policies and procedures.
      • Stay informed regarding security incidents occurring in the banking industry, in particular, those related to robberies, check fraud, ATM thefts, and debit card fraud.
      • Makes overdraft decisions and performs new account, teller, vault, and item capture duties as needed.
