a Cooling Tower Mechanical Technician, where you'll play a vital
role in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our
cooling systems. You'll work with cutting-edge technology and a
dedicated team to support efficient operations and contribute to
sustainable energy solutions. Requirements:
Duties/Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and
maintenance on cooling tower systems to ensure optimal performance.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in cooling towers and
associated equipment.· Repair or replace defective components, such
as fans, motors, pumps, and valves. Conduct regular cleaning and
chemical treatment of cooling tower water systems to prevent
scaling and corrosion.· Monitor and adjust cooling tower controls
and settings for efficient operation. Maintain accurate records of
inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed. Collaborate with
engineering and operations teams to implement improvements in
cooling tower efficiency.· Ensure compliance with safety standards
and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new cooling tower
systems and components. Provide technical support and guidance to
junior technicians and other maintenance personnel. Perform
emergency repairs and respond to cooling tower system failures
promptly. Keep up to date with the latest cooling tower
technologies and maintenance practices. Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of cooling tower systems, components, and
operations. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical
drawings and schematics. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot
mechanical issues with cooling towers. Experience with the
installation and alignment of cooling tower components. Familiarity
with safety regulations and practices related to mechanical
maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent
communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call
shifts when necessary. Education and Related Work Experience: High
school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in
mechanical maintenance and repair, specifically with cooling
towers. Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements: Ability to
lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
