Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A Special Education Teacher is needed to provide
support in Wilmington, DE schools, with an immediate start through
the end of the current school year and an opportunity to continue
for the 2026/2027 school year (approximately August 25 to June 15)
if the placement is a good match. This full-time, on-site position
focuses on delivering specialized instruction and push-in services
to 10th and 12th grade students. Key Responsibilities: Deliver
push-in special education services within English classrooms Lead
two small group English classes focusing on individualized student
needs Manage a caseload of approximately 23 students, tailoring
support to diverse learning requirements Collaborate closely with
general education teachers to ensure instructional alignment
Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and compliance
with special education guidelines Participate actively in team
meetings and professional development opportunities Qualifications
and Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification
Experience teaching high school students, particularly in English
or related subjects Strong ability to implement push-in services
and small group instruction Familiarity with individualized
education program (IEP) development and implementation Excellent
communication and collaboration skills Commitment to student
success and inclusive education Schedule and Location: Full-time,
Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:25 PM On-site position within
