Candidates should be compelling educational practitioners confident in their capacity to create and deliver a dynamic, engaging, and challenging curriculum to high school students. Qualified candidates should have the capacity to teach introductory and advanced courses to a range of students. In addition to their teaching assignments, all faculty are expected to contribute to the school community. • Requires an undergraduate degree in the relevant field; a Master's degree is strongly preferred.
• Ability to teach introductory and advanced laboratory sciences in Biology and Chemistry.
• 3-5 years of relevant classroom teaching experience, with prior AP and IB teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Effective leadership, communication skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Confidence and creativity in developing and delivering courses, including IBDP and AP courses.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• History of collegiality and collaboration with colleagues and administrators.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Innovative, flexible teaching style.
• Understanding of student developmental needs and effective learning strategies.
• Experience with instructional technology tools such as iPads, laptops, and Google Apps.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Strong teamwork skills and professionalism.
• Experience in independent schools is strongly preferred.Physical Requirements
