Become an Administrative Coordinator with the Family, Youth, and
Children (FY&C) Division!
Starting salary up to $34.52/hour ($72,047/year), a cash allowance
of $600/month, and a competitive total compensation package!
The Family, Youth, and Children's Administrative Coordinator will
be responsible for supporting the FY&C Case Review Team by
managing the case review list provided by the California State of
Social Services. They will work directly with the Case Review
Analyst to pull data from the case reviews to present findings to
the leadership team and staff. This Administrative Coordinator will
also provide administrative support to FY&C's therapeutic
contracts and manage credit reporting to foster youth and the
service provider who oversees their transportation needs.
Additionally, this Administrative Coordinator will work
independently on ad hoc projects and develop processes and
workflows autonomously within the Family, Youth, and Children
Division. They will also be responsible for supervising two Senior
Office Assistants who support the Case Review Unit and provide
administrative support for FY&C's Services.
The Ideal candidate for this position will possess:
Knowledge of Child Welfare Systems and the technical skills needed
to navigate the Child Welfare database (CWS/CMS)
Supervisory experience or experience leading teams
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part
of a high-performing support team
A highly functional customer service skill set, with the ability to
handle inquiries and coordinate services for multiple internal and
external stakeholders
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to follow
complex policies and procedures while juggling multiple
deadlines
Strong attention to detail and the ability to critique their
work
Excellent communications skills with the ability to interact with a
diverse customer base
The ability to multitask and prioritize within a fast-paced and
changing work environment
Experience tracking and/or reviewing data in spreadsheets or other
report tools
The ability to work with diversity, equity, and inclusion
frameworks

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Any combination of course work and training that would
provide an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities
listed. Normally, academic course work in public administration,
business administration, management, accounting, political science,
economics, statistics, English composition, psychology or closely
related courses would provide such opportunity.
Experience: Work experience that would provide an opportunity to
acquire the knowledge and abilities listed. Normally, some
experience related to general administration, accounting, budgetary
analysis, or human resources work including the compilation,
tabulation, analysis, and presentation of statistical and narrative
written reports would provide such opportunity.
License: Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate
level including special endorsements, as required by the State of
California, may be required depending upon assignment to perform
the essential job functions of the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of: administrative techniques and principles of
organization, accounting, budget and human resources
administration; techniques and practices of research methodology,
data collection, and preliminary analysis; report writing;
application and use of basic statistics; interview techniques
sufficient to obtain information related to employment and
administrative matters; written and oral communications, including
language mechanics, syntax and English composition; modern office
methods and procedures; database, spreadsheet and word processing
applications including basic methods of graphic presentations.
Ability to: collect, compile and analyze qualitative and
quantitative data; understand and explain laws, regulations and
policies governing program operations; communicate effectively
orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working
relationships with management, employees, clients, and the public;
understand program objectives in relation to departmental goals and
procedures; organize and prioritize work assignments; use and
understand common database, spreadsheet and word processing
applications; learn specialized computer applications.

fluent Spanish.
